The most painful 8 seconds of my life.
As the queen of angst, I can make this even worse.When you listen to all the noise, you can make out the sound of fire sirens, the fire itself, and obviously Hiro, though his voice is sort of drowned out by everything else, even though you’re seeing the outside of the building, so Hiro’s voice should logically seem louder since he’s closer. This sounds more like what someone would hear from inside the building. And then there’s that complete silence at the end.

I read this and literally just sorta FREAKED OUT. Hyperventilating, crying, the works. Felt like I got punched in the chest after drinking six cups of coffee. It probably wasn’t even that bad but for some reason I freaked out???? I wonder how long it’ll take me to recover from this one. I really hate myself sometimes; this was honestly an amazing headcanon.
SORTA SPOILERS: He actually is crushed by fallen debris. In the novel, it actually has a third person section of him walking into the building and screaming for Callaghan. Something from the ceiling then falls onto him.
That doesn’t mean he wasn’t semi-conscious for a little while, enough to hear Hiro.

she didn’t want to lose her 2nd nephew so suddenly without bidding him farewell or telling him how much she loves him
at the last scene when Hiro’s about to leave with fred, gogo, honey lemon and wasabi he bids a “last hug!” as well to aunt cass because he finally understands how it feels like to lose someone he loves without being satisfied of how much time he spent with him
no but seriously has anyone in the movie used Baymax’s “on a scale of 1 to 10…”
